I thought Alhambra’s oldest part was most impressive. The simple, threatening architecture, takes you straight back in to history, and touches more than the glitter and glamour of later Moorish architecture. Monuments are best to see when crowds have gone, when lighting has the morning softness or the evening warmth, and when weather turns it trick. Spring rain is a rare phenomenom in southern Spain. Had plenty of those days, but it did deliver nice pictures.
