The melancholic season has begon again in Europe. This year, I’m trying not to mourn over the lost leaves, missing warmth of the sun and long summer days quickly drawing to an end. Rather, I just try to observe and feel the changes, and not to label them, (And take ‘happy’ vitamin D pills that helps;) )
This photo was one of my lucky shots; I feel that often, the quick snap at the right moment, or the fully intuitive pictures are the best. See, feel, snap. This picture is as Dutch as can be, with the cyclist dominating the scene, and the timelessness, it might as well be a picture from the 50s. I also like the feeling of melancholy, a sense of something being lost, but tranquility at the same time.
